Ann Kanter, a State Certified specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law, has been practicing in the field of immigration law for thirty years. The firm specializes in obtaining visas for professionals, business owners, and families. She regularly advises employers on compliance with immigration laws and procedures for obtaining employee work authorization. A former Visiting Professor at U.C. Davis Law School, she was elected to the national governing board of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) in 1992 and has been a frequent author for AILA publications. In 1995 she received the Philip Burton Immigration and Civil Rights Award from the Immigration Resource Center of San Francisco.
